In order to improve your results and increase your response rate, we recommend you to integrate the first question of your survey in an email.

This solution offers more interactivity with the customer and promotes a better click-through rate. We offer two approaches after the click:

  • Recording of the first response: the answer is recorded, the questionnaire is opened on the second question. If your respondent abandons at this stage, the response is counted and usable in your analysis.
  • Pre-filling of the first answer: the questionnaire is opened on the first question with the answer given in the email. Your respondent can modify the answer, it will be validated later at the click of a button. If your respondent gives up at this step, the response is not counted.

In both cases, the logic of your questionnaire, your scenarios are intelligently preserved.

Necessary criteria

Your survey should meet some criteria to deploy your first question by email. The necessary criteria are:

  • a unique campaign attached to the deployment
  • a unique question with a validation button on the first page
  • any of the following question types: Rating scale, NPS, Image list, Check box list or Opt in

Integrate your question

To include your question in an email, go to your deliveries then create a new delivery by email:

Click on "Create a new deployment"

Then choose an email deployment.

1) You send your survey via your own provider: 

Choose if your email contains your first question or not. As mentioned previously, your survey should meet some criteria to deploy your first question by email. The necessary criteria are:

  • a unique campaign attached to the deployment
  • a unique question with a validation button on the first page
  • any of the following question types: Rating scale, NPS, Image list, Check box list or Opt in

You get the preview of your email as well as the code to copy / paste into your external service for sending emails, in order to display your question.

If a Segment is associated with your campaign to ensure the collection of Attributes related to your campaign. Remember to click on "URL Generator" to generate the URLs to integrate into your emailing tool.

2) You send your survey via MyFeelBack:

Choose your broadcast list. If you do not have any broadcast list yet, click on "Manage / Create list" (and read our article: How to create a Broadcast list?).

Choose your email template. If you do not have any email template, click on "Manage / Create templates" (and read our article: How to create an email template?).

If you need to, add your Segment in order to follow the Attributes linked to your campaign.

Now you can choose if your email contains your first question or not.

As mentioned previously, your survey should meet some criteria to deploy your first question by email. The necessary criteria are:

  • a unique campaign attached to the deployment
  • a unique question with a validation button on the first page
  • any of the following question types: Rating scale, NPS, Image list, Check box list or Opt in

Send your email immediately or schedule it to another date and time.

Once you have finished adjusting your parameters, verify your design and Activate your deployment. All you have to do is save and click on Send to start the deployment of your survey by e-mail.
