Email deployment is a powerful feature that allows you to customize the message that will invite your respondents to participate to your survey. Don't forget to directly integrate the first question of your campaign in the email to increase your participation rate!
Let's now see how to set up the email deployment of your campaign.
Go to the "Deployments" menu,
Click on the button “Create new deployment”,
Then select “E-mail”,
Select the sender you want (MyFeelBack or your own provider).
Note: if you send your Email via an external service, you'll have to generate your integration code as indicated in the article: Insert my first question in an email.
Select the campaign you want to deploy,
Choose the broadcast list who contains your contacts (if necessary, check this: create or import a new broadcast list)
Select the email template (if necessary check this: create an email template).
Now, define the segment who will be attached to your deployment (read the article: create segments).
Survey integration mode
You have the choice between two types of your survey integration by email:
"The first question of my survey", allows you to integrate your first question directly into the body of your e-mail. This significantly increases the response rate of your surveys!
"The url of my survey", allows you to share your campaign by a simple link, or even to integrate this url to an image or a button in your email.
1) The first question of my survey
Each response is saved as soon as the participant click in the email. The respondent is tempted to answer this first question! At the click, he is redirected to the continuation of your survey whose logic is fully preserved.
MyFeelBack solution allows to integrate 5 types of questions in your email:
- Net Promoter Score
- Rating scale (smileys, stars...)
- Checkbox list
- Image choices list
- Opt in
Example of integrating a first NPS question directly into the email.
This feature is available both when you send your e-mail via the MyFeelBack solution or via an external solution.
This allows you to remove the frictions of a respondent to participate. Learn more: Insert the first question in an email.
2) The url of my survey
When using the URL of your survey, we recommend that you generate an URL to attach your attributes to the email link in your email. Learn more: Attach attributes to a URL.
You can use this URL as a simple text link in your email, or a link on a button or on an image. In our example, we use a "Give my opinion" button.
Now select the language of your email.
- The Original Email's language is the one you used to write your email.
- The Contact's language is the language assigned to the participant.
- The Contact country's language is based on the respondent's location (depending on the web browser).
- Manual, you can force the broadcast to a desired language. For example, if you are broadcasting your campaign to American expatriates in a foreign country but want them to be able to respond in english, even if they are geolocalized abroad and are using tools in a different language.
Manage participant solicitation
Select the type of solicitation you want from the choice list.
You can choose not to show your campaign to contacts that have been solicited for some time. That is, if your contacts have already received a request to participate, they will not receive any new requests during the time you define.
This allows you not to collect duplicate responses, and to avoid unnecessarily disturbing your contacts who have already received a request to participate in your survey.
Don't forget to check the box "Send only to contacts updated", if you don't want your contacts already solicited (always respecting the chosen period of no solicitation). So, only the updated contacts, will receive the email when you'll send the next time.
Example: If a group of contacts participated to your campaign in February and you choose "Send only to contacts unsolicited for 1 month", then the next time you send your campaign in March, this group will be solicited again.
Then define if you want to send your email immediately or later.
Finally, you can save and test before clicking send to validate.
Please, remember to always activate your campaign before sharing it.
